Me: "would you please put your phone away"

Student1: "But Miss Lloyd I haven't been able to text since 9am"

Me: "oh how inconvenient, I remember what life was like before car phones"

Student1: "Oh I don't think they have those anymore"

Me: "Exactly...I didn't have a cell phone until I was 16, and couldn't text until college" 

Student2: "Well what did you do with the phone?"
